Sunday, February 12th, 2012Everything happened in the beginning of December when my wife came up with the idea to go on a holiday with our children and our friends during the winter holiday. We have been working so hard lately, so it was a great idea. We needed some place where we would be able to relax and where we wouldn’t have to worry about any problems. We were looking for the best destination where we could do a lot of new interesting activities and where we would have a great time. We have finally decided that the best thing for us was a lake tahoe vacation. First of all, the scenery there is breathtaking, and what is more, there are a lot of amazing activities we would be able to try.
We liked one Tahoe Donner vacation house rental which was one of the best lake tahoe vacation rentals, according to us. The house was big enough for all of us and it was very comfortable and convenient. Actually, we had a great time there. There were three big bedrooms, so there was plenty of space at the house for four adults and three children. The inner part of the house was so beautiful and it was a little ancient. There was a stone gas fireplace, but the furniture was made from leather. There was a flat-screen TV and DVD, and also a stereo system. This was the perfect place to spend our evenings when we were all in the living room, talking to each other, playing games and having fun.
One of the best things about this house was that there was amazing view, especially from the dining room. There was a view to the deck and it was really beautiful. Maybe one of the reasons was that we went there in December and there was a lot of snow. So, everything outside was so white and pure and we had the feeling that we were in a fairytale. Our children loved this too much. They spent most of their time playing in the snow, or at the Tahoe Donner ski area which was perfect for kids. We have heard about lake tahoe skiing, it’s really popular. We also tried it, and I can say that it was an experience which was worth it! It was amazing, although I fell down a couple of times.
Tahoe Donner lodge was located near the house. It was really convenient for us to go there because there were a few nice restaurant and pubs, and moreover, there was also a golf center there. I am addicted to golf, so I spent some time playing with my friend. I love it because the feeling while I am playing is so relaxing. Unfortunately, my wife can’t understand me. I highly recommend this house rental for all of you who want to spend a few amazing days at Lake Tahoe. I am sure that you won’t find a better place!

We’re thinking about doing a few days in Paris, seeing the sights, and then we want to head up to the alpine area to get our skiing fix. It’s been a while since I’ve been skiing, and I’ve never done France either, so I’m excited to explore brand new realms to me. I’ve always been a traveler at heart, and I can certainly tell you that I’ve always been a skier at heart, so when the two things combine, I’m one happy camper. My wife is the same, she just hasn’t done as much as I have in that department, so I’m happy to show her the ropes in both areas. She helps me discover a lot of things that I’ve never opened myself up to, and so we have a great give and take on that level.

I So Want to Go on a Gorilla Trekking Safari
Friday, May 20th, 2011Don’t you? I’ve loved gorillas ever since I watched movies about them when I was younger. No, not King Kong, but the documentaries about their lives, and all that. Gorillas and elephants are my favorites, sigh. Anyway, I can think of few things more interesting than going on a gorilla trekking safari and seeing the gorillas and other forest dwelling primates up close.
